The Best Places to Watch the World Cup in Fort Lauderdale

The World Cup is here, and if you are trying to figure out where to watch the games in Fort Lauderdale, there is no shortage of options. I went through every category — breweries, dive bars, elevated sports bars, entertainment venues, and the best of Pompano Beach — so you have a complete list ready to go for the entire tournament.

I'm Joe Vairo — a 2x eXp ICON Agent, ranked the #3 real estate agent in Fort Lauderdale by Fort Lauderdale Magazine, and founder of the Vairo Group, ranked the #3 real estate team in Fort Lauderdale. I live this city every day, and this is the list I am personally using to plan out where I am watching matches throughout the tournament.

Breweries: The Local Beer Crowd

Gulfstream Brewing, Tarpon River Brewing, and Funky Buddha are the three breweries leading the pack for World Cup viewing. Funky Buddha is running a $5 pre-game pilsner special — which is a great deal and also a genuinely dangerous one if you are planning to stay through a full match.

For anyone who wants the craft beer atmosphere alongside the game rather than a traditional sports bar setup, these three are the strongest options in Fort Lauderdale.

For Argentina Fans: There Are Really Only Two Options

If you are rooting for Argentina, the city has narrowed itself down to essentially two destinations. Baire's Grill on Las Olas is one. Graziano's — any of their locations — is the other. We will likely be heading to the Weston location and bringing my grandmother, Nani, along for the games. Both spots carry the kind of Argentine fan energy that makes watching the matches there a genuinely different experience than a generic sports bar.

Dive Bar Sports Bars

For the more laid-back, no-frills sports bar experience, Marina 84, The Parrot Lounge, and Waxy's Irish Pub are the go-to spots. Flanigan's also deserves a mention here — whether it technically counts as a dive bar is debatable, but it functions exactly like one for World Cup viewing purposes, and that is what matters.

A Step Up: The Wharf, American Social, and Tin Roof

If the dive bar atmosphere is not your speed and you want something a little more polished, The Wharf, American Social, and Tin Roof are the answer. We have already watched several games at Tin Roof, including Florida State games, and it has consistently delivered a great atmosphere for big game viewing.

Elevated and New: Fair Catch at the Omni Hotel

For something more elevated and newer that you might not have checked out yet, Fair Catch at the Omni Hotel is genuinely excellent. We watched Miami beat Ohio State there and the entire setup — the space, the energy, the execution — was outstanding. If you have not been to Fair Catch yet, the World Cup is a great reason to go for the first time.

Entertainment and Crowds: Hard Rock and Amerant Bank Arena

If you want the full entertainment experience with a bigger crowd — and the option to actually bet on the game — the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood is the move. Amerant Bank Arena, home of the Florida Panthers, is also hosting watch parties for fans who want a larger-scale viewing event.

The Fort, the pickleball facility, is also doing World Cup viewing — an interesting and different option for anyone who wants to combine the game with some pickleball before or after.

Something Different: Smorgasburg's Food Truck Setup

Smorgasburg is hosting World Cup viewing on weekends only, but the format is genuinely different from everywhere else on this list — a full lineup of food trucks alongside the game, which gives it more of an outdoor festival feel than a traditional bar setting.

Flying Under the Radar: Patio Bar and Pizza, and The Fitz

Two spots deserve specific attention because they consistently fly under the radar despite delivering a great experience.

Patio Bar and Pizza is always a good time, particularly if you can grab a seat in the courtyard area — a setup that a lot of people walk past without realizing how good it actually is.

The Fitz might be the most underrated bar in all of Fort Lauderdale. Ten dollar Casamigos Blanco and eight dollar well drinks make it one of the better values in the city, on top of being a genuinely solid spot to watch a match.

Heading North: Pompano Beach Options

For anyone in or near Pompano Beach — Pompano Yes — there are several strong options as well. Galuppi's, 26 Degree Brewing, and Baresco are all solid choices for catching the games. Briny's Irish Pub is also worth checking if they are showing the match — if they are, it might end up being the best option in Pompano given the Irish pub atmosphere that tends to lend itself well to big tournament viewing.

Where Are You Watching the World Cup?

That is the complete list across breweries, dive bars, elevated sports bars, entertainment venues, hidden gems, and Pompano Beach options. Whether you are an Argentina fan heading to Bears Grill or Graziano's, looking for a deal at Funky Buddha or The Fitz, or want the full entertainment experience at Hard Rock — Fort Lauderdale has a genuinely strong lineup of options for the entire tournament.

Who do you think wins the World Cup, and where are you planning to watch the games?
